Towns and Villages

LIMEUIL – 19 km – A pretty village with a river beach and opportunities for canoeing. Partly surrounded by its original fortified walls, it is also home to the beautiful Jardins Panoramiques, which are well worth a visit.

BERGERAC – 22 km – A historic town situated on the banks of the Dordogne River.

SAINT-CYPRIEN – 33 km – A medieval hillside town full of beautiful architecture. Market day is Sunday.

BEYNAC-ET-CAZENAC – 41 km – A beautiful riverside village, with the magnificent Château de Beynac perched on the cliffs above.

LA ROQUE-GAGEAC – 46 km – A picture-postcard village nestled along the banks of the Dordogne.

VITRAC – 52 km – Home to a river beach that is ideal for swimming. Canoes are available to rent, and there is a small café nearby.

SARLAT-LA-CANÉDA – 52 km – The most famous town in the region and a food lover’s dream, with winding narrow streets full of surprises.

EYMET – 41 km – A typical bastide town centred around a charming market square.
